Wondering what’s next for nickel exploration?
Let’s dive into the latest from Churchill Resources and their Taylor Brook Nickel Project.
Taylor Brook Nickel Project Update
Spring Work Program Highlights
In February 2024, we found a dynamic magmatic intrusive system stretching 13km from Layden Nickel Showing to the Taylor Brook Gabbro Complex (TBGC) South Lobe.
- TBGC South Lobe: Priority interest due to its strong gravity and magnetic anomalies, ideal for nickel districts.
- Layden Drilling Success: Hit gabbroic intrusive rocks and sulphide-bearing breccias in all targeted holes.
- Airborne Surveys: Mapped high-grade nickel-bearing areas effectively.
Since April, our extensive exploration program has included line-cutting, ground CSAMT, IP, TDEM surveys, diamond drilling, and borehole electromagnetic surveys. We’ve identified four promising target areas along the TB Magmatic Trend.
Target Areas in Focus
1. TBSL-1 Area
- Located inside the TBGC South Lobe.
- Defined a 600m Ni-Cu-Co soil anomaly.
- Highest soil results on the property: 584ppm Ni, 1172ppm Cu, 665ppm Co.
- Ongoing surveys to delineate drill targets.
2. TBSL Gravity Area
- Features a +30mGal bouguer gravity anomaly.
- Strong magnetic response within the TB Magmatic Trend.
- Planned comprehensive surveys to outline new drilling targets.
3. Layden Extension Area
- High-grade mineralization branch off the TB trend.
- Detailed surveys to generate precise drill targets.
4. LIT-1 Area
- 300m long Ni-Cu-Co soil anomaly.
- Surface prospecting confirmed gabbronoritic host rocks.
- Identified resistivity low targets for future drilling.
Chargeability Targets and Drilling Plans
- TBSL-1 Grid: Identified chargeability targets aligned with soil anomalies.
- Supercharger Target TB-01: High chargeability response indicating potential nickel sulphide mineralization.
- Drilling Commences August 2024: Targeting TB-01 and other high-potential areas.
