How I Became the Founder of a Bespoke Travel Marketing Platform

This week, I’m excited to share my journey as the founder of The Destination Institute, a cutting-edge travel marketing agency designed to transform the way we tell travel stories.

My Early Love for Travel and Geography

From a young age, my passion for travel was sparked by my love for geography. Inspired by my teacher, Miss Harrison, I felt a deep connection to the world around me. This fascination led me on a path that would ultimately shape my career.

While my friends were busy waitressing, I took a different route. In Year Ten, I enrolled in a makeup course, which opened doors to work at weddings and photoshoots. This experience in media and marketing was my first taste of storytelling, which would later become a crucial part of my career.

The Leap to Dubai

My journey took a significant turn when I decided to move to Dubai. I always dreamt of living abroad, and after accepting a scholarship for my Master’s in the UK, I switched gears. Armed with just two suitcases and a determination to explore, I found myself in a city bursting with diversity and opportunity.

Incredibly, just a week after my arrival, I landed what I considered my “dream job.” Dubai offered the perfect environment for a young woman to thrive, and I haven’t looked back since.
